What a great time I had with this gorgeous family!! All that blonde hair! Each one is just beautiful! They were so much fun and so full of energy! I tell ya- that little girl rules the roost! She definitely has a mind of her own!! That will serve her WELL one day-- I love to see little girls like this!! =)
This was the first time I had the privilege of meeting this sweet family! This was one of those sessions that I wished photographs recorded SOUND too! If they did you would have heard lots and lots of GIGGLES!!! Sweet, lofty giggles! It was great!
The little girl would NOT be outdone!! It was the funniest thing! She didn't want to do anything if asked-- but the second we asked her brother to do it-- she was on it! We just laughed! She was so much like my little girl! Such a mess! I truly enjoyed spending time with them. They were real troopers-- the ground was wet from a sprinkler-- and when they went to leave, everyone was soaking wet!! Not everyone would do that!!
Thanks so much for amking my job so much fun and easy!! I can't wait to get to the rest of your pictures! You have such a beautiful family! I want to thank AM for referring them to me! You need to call me and tell me what 8x10 you want!! =)
I am so blessed to have the best families come for their portraits! I have enjoyed every single one!! Thank you!!!
Promise of Joy: Happy are the people whose God is the Lord. Psalm 144:15
This is sooo true! I can't imagine living without having Jesus as my Savior. Every little thing would be huge, every sad thing would be devastating. But He provides me with Joy that I can find no where else!
This was such a sweet and pretty wedding on a Louisiana Bayou. I just love the water and the wonderful moss-covered trees!
Those of you that know me know that I don't usually shoot weddings. The stress is almost unbearable for me =) But this one was a lot of fun with a pretty laid-back atmosphere. This beautiful bride is my sister's sister-in-law, so I was happy to do it.
These are just a few of my favorites- there were many! But we were really racing the sun after the wedding. The ceremony didn't actually start until after 6:30, so we didn't really have much fun to take a lot of the fun shots I usually enjoy capturing. But we did manage to squeeze a few in. =) They were so accomodating-- it really was a great night.
Thank you, K and D for trusting me to capture these special memories for you. I really enjoyed spending the evening with you all and getting to know you better. K-- I wish you all of the happiness a marriage can stand! =) God Bless you and your sweet Husband!!
Promise of Joy: It (Love) always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 1Corinthians 13:7 I pray that this is the way we all view our marriages. It is not about "winning" or making ourselves happy. It is about unselfish love. To take care of one another and to be committed for a life time. Weddings are a beautiful reminder to us all!
I just got through editing and I discovered this photo! When I was first going through the pictures this one didn't really strike me as memorable-- but now that I have had a chance to really look at it-- it just may be my session fave!! It just captures their personalities! They are such handsome and fun-loving brothers! They were so glad to finally be able to get on each others back! It just makes me smile! These cute little ones were such troopers on such a HOT night!! They were great listeners and were so much fun to photograph! They are just beautiful! Their Mom is a co-worker of mine. She teaches 2nd grade. Her oldest one in the pictures stayed with my little girl every day when they were babies. So we go way back!
I adore this sweet family and was honored when she asked me to photograph her family. This is a lucky little girl with two adoring big brothers! They are great with her. I love to watch these brothers! They are so very different. The older is a little reserved and quiet and the younger is just bursting with energy! I can't wait to see which one the little ones takes after! She'll probably be right down the middle. =)
Thanks "m" for giving me the privilege of capturing these memories for you. They are truly beautiful!! It was great spending time with your whole family!! =)
Promise of Joy: "I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters," says the Lord Almighty. 2 Corinthians 6:18 I thought this was appropriate being so close to Father's Day Weekend. It is awesome to know that we do have a Heavenly Father to love us, guide us and protect us- if we just call on His name. I am so thankful! I have a wonderful father here on Earth, too-- and the Father of my children is an amazing man-- how blessed am I?
I thoroughly enjoyed my evening with this beautiful family! I actually grew up with both the Mom and Dad. I especially remember the Mom from church when we were really, really small!! But over the years we drifted apart-- I am a few years older than them-- and had not seen them much through the years. Well, we all live in the same close knit community and the Dad and I both teach school here. He is at the high school and I am at the Lower Elementary. Small World!! =) Their gorgeous little girl will be in kindergarten at my school next year! So it was great spending time with them and catching up a little. I love seeing them as one really happy family!
Their children were so well behaved and listened so well to everything I asked-- and you know from my past posts that that can get crazy at times! =) We had to have a hair-slinging lesson-- I probably just opened up a whole new can of "sassiness"! My daughter was just born with it! HA!
I believe my session favorite is the sweet picture of the little girl on her Daddy's back! She just looks like she is happiest little girl in the world. Something about it just makes me nostalgic! But I really loved so many of them.
I regret to say that I am not finished editing yet-- it may be next week sometime before the whole gallery is listed on the other site. We have VBS ALL day tomorrow, and church on Sunday...
Thanks you so much for giving me the honor of capturing these moments for you! I know I will be seeing more of you the next few years with your little ones coming up through my school! I can't wait!!! =)
Promise of Joy: Your attitude should be the same that Christ Jesus had. Philippians 2:5
Wow-- that is a very heavy thought! I am learning so much through this blog! God seems to give me the exact verse that I need to hear. This verse speaks to what I believe is MY biggest problem! Attitude is a choice-- one that is so easily influenced by circumstances! I pray that His light shines through me and that I gain full control over my attitude...He has really worked on this the past few years =) God Bless you all...
