Nielsen Photography was started almost by accident!
I have been a teacher (mostly 1st grade) for 13 years. For some reason I felt that my life was being lead in a different direction. That was when God really opened some doors and windows that I never knew existed! Not just in opportunities, but in my soul!

I had no clue that I had any photographic talent, and it has been all too clear that without Him-- I DON'T!
I have my hands in a lot of different things right now- and I am so excited to see what God has in store for me!

I am truly honored (and still a little shocked) every time someone makes an appointment!! I mean that with all of my heart! I feel so unworthy-- and thankful for my family friends and precious clients that I also call my friends.

My sweet hubby is my partner in this endeavor as well as everything else. He finds my new locations, funds my expensive equipment and believes in me even (or especially) when I dont' believe in myself!! He also had quite the eye for great photos, lighting and subjects himself. He has accompanied me and been my 2nd shooter at every wedding and is a big help on the business side of things. As with every are in my life, he and our 2 children are my greatest gifts from God.
