Happy New Year

Happy 2011!!!
Wow-- 2010 flew by in a blur of car-pooling, soccer games, cheerleading competitions, church, get togethers, birthday parties, school, vacations, softball, and photo sessions-- not necessarily in that order! =)

And praise God that most of our memories have been wonderful!! I am so thankful that God doesn't limit us to what we ask for-- for He always has far more in store for us than we can even imagine! His love is pure. Amazing.

I couldn't possibly begin a new year without saying a huge, heartfelt thank you to all of you who have trusted ME to capture your wonderful memories and special moments! Every inquiry about my photography is a huge honor to me. I am still astonished at how far God has brought me! Every step I have taken has been through HIM. Just a few short years ago I knew NOTHING about professional cameras, websites, printing companies, Christmas cards... I can go on and on ... and without a single class, the Lord has guided through every new adventure! For his mercy and guidance I am thankful-- and for wonderful clients and friends like YOU!!

So I am starting this new year off with a full heart of thankfulness and excitement about what is coming in the new year! I have many new ideas that I will be working on soon. And good news--- NO price changes on ANYTHING this year!! YAY!!!

Thank you again for all of your sweet words and emails and repeat business! I have met so many wonderful people through my photography-- and I have enjoyed watching families and children grow! It is truly a privilege.

May God bless you and your families in 2011!!!
Much Love~

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas from the NielsenPhotography family!! This is our favorite time of the year and we wanted to share with you why. This is the time that we celebrate the birth of our Savior. This baby does not stay a baby-- He grows into a man who lays down His life... for ME- and YOU. So Christmas means sooo much more to us than Santa and gifts. It means a great celebration of the greatest gift of all. If you haven't already, PLEASE accept His gift of salvation. It's free to you-- but it comes at a great price. Please don't miss out on the true meaning of Christmas. May God bless you and your family in the coming year!

Below are more of the Christmas cards I created this year! This was sooo much fun!! I wish people ordered Christmas cards all year long! haha!!
Most were printed one sided with a linen texture. But I did print a couple on heavy card stock (front and back) with an art finish, and one with an exquisite pearl finish-- I wish you could see them all in person!! I will have sooo many types available next Christmas-- or for baby announcements, or graduation-- just let me know-- ANY occassion! I have countless other styles that I can work up.

I had a wonderful time with all of these clients-- you guys mean so much to me-- thank you so much for trusting me with your precious memories and for your friendship. Have a very Merry Christmas!

This is a front and back card-- with a beautiful pearl finish!

Promise of Joy:
I bring you good news of great joy that will be for ALL the people... Today, in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; He is CHRIST THE LORD.

Photographing the Photographer! =)

This was one of THE most FUN sessions EVER!! I had a wonderful time with this fun and photogenic family!!
Meet the McGuffee's. Mattie K-- the sister on the right- is a fellow photographer. I can tell you that I felt very HONORED when she called me up and asked ME to photograph HER family!! And a little nervous!! But I jumped at the chance! And I am so glad I did!!! ---- You will have to check back in a few months-- she will be returning the favor!! I have not had my children photographed by anyone but me in several years- so I can't wait to see them through her lens!! =)

Also-- you can check out her photography by clicking here: www.mattiekphotography.blogspot.com

This couch is a jewel!! My son is not too impressed with a couch in a field-- he told me "Mom, it's so....random."--- I'm guessing that "random" is not a good thing?? HAHA!!! But I sure loved it-- and I owe her Dad for going through all the trouble of bringing it out for us! I just love it!!

And the sisters are just beautiful! I could have kept shooting all day! They are so close and have missed each other dearly since they are now living so far a part. I just hate that I have been so swamped that I am JUST getting these on here!! Sorry- MattieK-- but Christmas is CRAZY here at the Nielsen's-- even if I did skip black Friday! (My best friend, Jenifer is Mattie K's cousin and somehow talked us into shopping last year-- no way this year!!) haha!!

So to sum it up, I had a fabulous time!! Thank you sooo much, McGuffee's for trusting me with your precious memories!! I truly am honored and would looove to do it again!! And I can not WAIT until you shoot us!! =)

Promise of Joy:

I pray that I always please God, for HE is the ONLY reason that I can do anything that I do. I am so thankful for my relationship with the ONE true living God!
