Douglas

Never a dull moment with this family!!! I had so much fun spending the afternoon with this crew. Poor kids hardly stood a chance with all of the teasing that was going on! It was too funny. Kind of reminded me of my own family (cut into 1/3) lol!! I'd have to pay a photographer triple to get my whole family taken!!

It was a perfect afternoon. I know several were very reluctant to have their portraits taken-- but I think they turned out great!!

I hope this will be a geat memory for you all. Thank you so much for allowing me to be a small part of it. =)

The Smith's

The Smith's are no strangers to this blog!! I loooooove this sweet family!! This is yet another family that came into our lives through one of my children! The little girl and Hannah Beth go all the way back to kindergarten. The first time I had heard of them is because Kaitlyn had her tonsils out. They have been best friends ever since. Plus, I had the honor of teaching Kaitlyn in 1st grade. =)

This is another family that feels like family. I always know they are just a phone call away! -- And it goes both ways! We have shared lots of laughter, prayers, advice and tears!! I count Mandy as one of my closest friends.

So it is always a memorable time when we do their pictures! I love spending the afternoon with them-- even grouchy Chris! LOL!! And since they have moved I treasure this time even MORE!!

Thank you, Mandy- for trusting me with your family memories-- I KNOW how much they mean to you!! And I am honored when I walk into your home and see my "artwork" as you say!! Thank you for everything!! We miss ya'll like crazy!!

The Lord is my light and my salvation... the Lord is the strength of my life.

Futch's

I have no words to adequately blog for this family. =)
They only came into our lives about a year ago. One of these girls was in Hannah Beth's class, then Hannah Beth was drafted by the Dad onto the softball team that I sponsored and then became the very reluctant, overused and underpaid "secretary" for. And so it all began.

It started kind of slow. Just getting the one daughter to spend the night with Hannah Beth. Then the other precious girl is only a year older, so she started to come over. Then we were going 4 wheeler riding and the oldest boy cried and cried... and he is a doll- who could say no? That happened a couple of times. Then the baby wanted to come to--- and I SURE CAN NOT say no to that sweet, precious, smiling face!!! Sooo...since summer we have been pretty much inseparable! They are adorable and so so so sweet. There were many days I had 8 or 9 kids here in the summer in and out of the pool and all over my house. We made the best memories. Lots of cookie baking and mess making!

Now they are family to us. We celebrate birthdays and holidays together. They go to church with us and we talk several times every day. I help the kids with projects and school, their Dad helps mine with ball and being smart allecky (although no help is needed for that last part-- he throws that in for free).

That brings me to the Dad. Where to begin?? With a BIG LOL!!! That's the way we spend the majority of our time together. He is very laid back and the kids have so much fun with him. And even better---his own kids absolutely ADORE him. They miss him when they're with me and talk about him constantly. He's the best cook, coach, singer, hunter, driver, artist, comedian, back rubber, tickler...Daddy. It is just so sweet to hear them tell me all the wonderful things about him. They want to make him happy and always remember to pray for him. It is a wonderful thing to witness a parent bond like this. ---Same goes for the older 2 also. Back around Father's day I was working with them to make something special for him from them. The text I got from the next to the oldest brought tears to me eyes. She's so appreciative of all of his hard work and sacrifices. I am constantly AMAZED by the love, admiration and closeness I see between them.

I've told him on several occasions-- he's one of the richest men I know...

I had so many ideas for this session-- and just not enough time. I got distracted by so many different happenings...you can ONLY imagine!!!! But I hope I captured who they truly are. Each one is so incredibly beautiful and unique that I could have gone all day!!

I could go on and on and share lots and lots of funny stories! We have made lots of great memories-- and even a few not so great ones! LOL!! If you follow me on Fb, you probably know a few stories! But I am so thankful for them and the excitement and love they bring into my life. My only regret is not knowing them longer...
