Stunning Bride

This absolutely stunning bride is a good friend- and a 1st grade co-worker. It has been truly an honor and huge compliment that she asked me to be the photographer for her wedding! I was thrilled to be a part of this process with her. She is such a sweet and genuiune person- and truly deserves every happiness this day brings!!!

We took these portraits a little while back- getting ready for the big day-- but they have been hidden since she followed the sweet tradition of not letting her sweet guy see her before she walked down the aisle! What a moment that was-- you must check back in to see those shots!!

This bridal session was on a gorgeous day- after having had to be canceled 2 other times because of heave rain!! We are indebted to our fabulous principal for giving the bride an a little extra time that afternoon to slip off for her portraits (I had already taken off that day) - so it worked out perfectly!! The weather was beautiful, and the home was gorgeous. The bride was relaxed and seemed to be really enjoying herself. Her sweet Mom was there to help us keep that white dress white!

I did really have such a good time- thank you so much. "k" for trusting me with your most precious moments (so far) =) You really are beautiful- both inside and out- God Bless you and that sweet man of yours!!!
Love you guys!!!

Promise of Joy:
A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies.
Proverbs 31:10

Well- "B" is a very wealthy man-- he just found a treasure worth far more than rubies! What a blessed man!! =)

Cheer =)

This beautiful cheer leader belongs to a friend of mine. She asked me to put some of her pics on the blog so that family can see to order- and I am happy to-- she is so photogenic- I could have taken pictures of her ALL day-- just NOT on THIS day!! It was soooo hot and extremely humid! You could see the air it was so heavy with humidity! So, that combined with the fact I had 24 other girls to take- and the sun peeking through every once in a while with us in the middle of an open field- the lighting was just brutal. It had come a monsoon the night before and we were trudging in the mud!!
BUT-- having said all that-- I must say that these girls have awesome attitudes and and stuck with me! I thoroughly enjoyed my session with them!!! I wish I had gotten permission from all of the parents to blog their pics-- they all did great and I would have loved to have shown them off!!
Thanks so much 'W'-- for trusting me and asking me to take these pics for your squad! I had a great time-- I hope you are pleased with them all! Congrats to you all for your great reviews at camp- and for having working so well together as a team! I will be seeing you all in the fall!! =)

Promise of Joy:
Those who have a pure heart and are gracious in speech will have the King as a friend.
Proverbs 22:11

I know that in difficult or frustrating situtaions it is sooooo hard to be gracious in speech-- believe me-- I have been not so gracious too many times--- but I have also learned that you can accomplish a great deal by being kind in those circumstances! You can help someone else- and you can also be a great witness to the ones you are in front of or around.
So girls-- please remember this-- you not only represent your school, but also your parents and your God-- keep your attitudes as they are now- sweet and agreeable-- and you will go far in everything you do!!! =)

The Neighbors

This beautiful family lives next door to us. They moved in I guess 2 years ago-- man it sure goes by fast! These precious children have grown bigger and even more beautiful through those years! They are so sweet- and have those amazing blue eyes (which you see the parents have those too- lucky things!!).
I took their Christmas pictures this year-- and they are always great to photograph! So photogenic! (when I can keep their attention - haha!!)I have also taken their cousins-- and they are just as beautiful and photogenic!! I am always excited about doing these pictures!!
We were out in the extreme HEAT for this session! whew!! The weeds had taken over and we had to be pretty creative about where we could stand! But everyone was cooperative and and I didnt even get a hint of grouchiness!! That is pretty good- we were out there a little over an hour! But we had a good time!
And I have good news-- I will also have the gallery views up tonight too! I am excited- I have a wedding this weekend-- I am actually caught up for now! woo hoo!!

Thanks, G and K for asking me to do this for you! I had a great time! We need to get together and grill sometime!! =)

Promise of Joy:
Rejoice in all the good things the Lord your God has given to you and your household.
Deuteronomy 26:11

What makes this verse so exciting is that if the Bible says to rejoice over "all" good things then that clearly implies that God will bless our families with many good things! That is an awesome thought! There is no way that I could ever count my blessings! He has truly blessed me and my family beyond measure. On the way to each appointment I turn the radio off and I have quiet time with God. I pray for the family that I am about to photograph and ask Him to bless them in every way- and I pray for the session He has supplied me with. He has without doubt answered my prayers over, and over again. I am amazed how He knows what we need even before we do-- we just have to learn to trust Him!! =)

Beautiful Trio

What a gorgeous set of kiddos!!!
This session has been a looong time coming! =) I work with their Mom, and my children have been friends with these children since birth. They are absolutely precious- inside and out!! I had such a fabulous time with them and just can not wait to see all of the end results.
This is definitely just a sneak peek-- it was soooo difficult to choose which ones to blog- there were soo many good ones!! So, good luck choosing yourself, "L"!! =)
The oldest was in pre-school with my oldest, and they were good friends. The little guy has been with Hannah beth since birth at "Mrs. Betty's". He has always been so sweet- and they just love one another. Now that they are older, they are both pretty shy - but I see them playing together after school and you can really tell that connection is still there! The little one is such a breath of fresh air with that cotton- top and big smile! She is such a cutie!
It was soooo suffocatingly HOT!!!! But they were troopers- and it is for sure a Louisiana summer now!!! The place we went to is just beautiful and the people who live there are so gracious and welcoming- that I just love going there- they make me feel as if I am "home". I have met some of the nicest people through this business- and I am so grateful for that!
I hope you love them. "L"- there are many more to come soon! =) I may blog a few more of her dance pics-- I really loved them!!

Promise of Joy:
God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.
2 Corinthians 9:8

God loves to bless us, as His children, above and beyond what we would ever even ask for! He is a God of Abundance- and grace. In these tough times that I know are coming financially, and for some, even spiritually, it helps me to know that I serve a God Who will provide for me and my family through all things!! =)
