Gorgeous Family

** Double click on the portraits to see them in their true clarity.

This family is beautiful- from the parents all the way down to the dog!! I had the best time with them!! I drove out to the grandparents place -- what a beautiful home and yard! The kids were relaxed because it is where they are familiar and comfortable. So they just played and behaved like themselves and I just snapped away! I could have gone on all day!

I worked with the Mom's Mom for several years and I just dearly love her and because of that I easily became friends with her wonderful daughters (one happens to be my neighbor now). The apple doesn't fall far from the tree-- which is a great thing in this case!!

I am so honored to have been asked to capture these memories! You really made my job easy and so much fun! It was great seeing your part of the country side a while and meet your sweet family. You'd think it would be challenging to get these 2 little guys (3 and 1, I think) - but they were great- and so well behaved!!

Please let me know if there is anything else I can do! I can not wait to see these in print! =)

Promise of Joy:
Behold, thus shall the man be blessed who fears the Lord.
Psalm 128:4

Sr. J

Doesn't she have AMAZING eyes? This High School Sr was a lot of fun and so "grown up". I teach her little brother in first grade. I also knew her Mom and Dad Waaaaay back in high school! Now I know her Dad and step-Mom pretty well after a year with their wonderful little boy! It is funny how people cross your path when you least expect it!! I had no idea who her Mom was until I was in the middle of the session. That was just too funny! She has a great family and is so intelligent and well grounded. I know that whatever path she chooses, she will do great!

Promise of Joy:
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
Proverbs 3:5

May God bless the path you take!!

Girls Softball 2

Here are a few more from our first few games. I have literally hundreds, but I just wanted to put a few up that the parents may want. These girls play so well together and really have such spunk!

If you missed the 1st ones I posted you'll need to scroll down a little ways to see the others. I have been really busy lately, so there have been lots of posts! Check back periodically for more! =)

If there is a particular shot you want me to try to capture- just let me know! I am going to try to get more batting shots in the next couple of games.

Thanks for all of your kind words-- I truly enjoy doin this for these girls!! =)

Promise of Joy:
Two can accomplish more than twice as much as one, for the results can be much better.
Ecclesiastes 4:9

Great team work, girls! Keep it up!

My children

These were all taken within a few days of each other at some of our Easter celebrations. Just like for all of you- it is so difficult to get a decent picture of the two of them TOGETHER! In several they are actually playing "head butt" or pushing-- you know how it is with kids- I just have to be READY for the right moment! =) The key, I think is to try to be as fast as possible and do it in very short spurts to keep them from getting agitated (trust me, those DON'T make pretty pictures =) Well, every once in a while it makes for the perect picture. I have a beach picture of my 2 from 3 years ago that I get huge raves over- and in that one M is very frustrated and saying "this is more than ONE MORE!" But- it looks great for that shot! Too bad for him- that just makes me want to keep going! HA!!

I guess I am writing this because so many of my friends ask me how I get them to do what they do-- try a little money, too-- =)

** I am also posting a funny one of M-- we were invited to MR LW's plantation and had a WONDERFUL time!! The picture above is of M catching COTTON CANDY that was blowing in the wind! It was just too funny not to show. He was having a great time and gobbling it up! MR. LW's house is beautiful and he was so kind to let so many people come and enjoy it! There are more pictures posted from this day a few posts ago with my nieces.

Promise of Joy:
While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be children of light.
John 12:36

I pray that my children will always be children of the light, walking in HIS light, and shining THEIR light into the world. I am so thankful for their sweet spirits and generous hearts!

Easter

These were taken at church right before the big rain moved in-- and STAYED! Thankfully my friend asked me to go out and take pictures of the children, or none of us would have gotten pictures that day! I thought these were adorable to be "spur of the moment"! Thanks, 'L'- for getting me out there with my camera!! And 'J'- so sorry I didn't get a chance to get your whole family!!

Promise of Joy:
Thou art the Christ, the Son of the Living God.
Matthew 16:16

This is truly what Easter is for our families. I am so thankful for His sacrifice.

Softball Girls!!

My little girl is playing "real" softball for the first time. She played 3 years of T-Ball and WooHoo- we are finally out of that! =)
She is having the best time. We are really enjoying our little team. They work so well together and have a lot of fun! I wanted to post a few pics for the parents to see. I haven't gotten permission from them all yet- so the whole team is not shown.

We have a great team of coaches who are so patient and sweet to all these little gals. I am very grateful for all their time and dedication to this team! (I will post them later).

Promise of Joy:
Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.
1 Thessalonians 5:11
