A Wedding Story

The Fairy Tale!!
This wedding was perfect in every way. Gorgeous couple, great families, beautiful service, and a happily ever after!!! =)

The pictures are not exactly in the order that I took them-- but I wanted them to sort of tell the story of her special day. There are hundreds that will not be posted-- so I will post more later!

I got very choked up on several occassions that night! It was so darned sweet!!! The song that I am playing (wonderful tonight, by eric clapton) was the song played during the father/daughter dance. It made me want to bawl!! I know-- I am showing my age- when I relate weddings more to my daughter than myself- wow!! But that was the perfect song for that dance!! You can really tell the love in BOTH of these families! They are very blessed.

I want to share with you about the tradition being followed in this wedding. This church is the oldest Catholic church in Mississippi I believe. It is beautifully ornate and very important in the lives of this family. The bride's great-grand parents, grandparents, parents and both sisters were all married in this church! That is a terrific legacy! The bride also wore a brooch on her garter that was over 100 years old from her grandmothers. It was her "old, borrowed, and blue"! I will post it later. I love family traditions!! =)

I don't know that I have ever been around a more organized, detail driven bride in all my life-- but man, her hard work really paid off!
I had a wonderful day (and night) with everyone. I have a loooong way to go on all the pics (over 1200)-- but I wanted to give a sneak-peek before I go out of town. I will post more later.

Best wishes and may God bless your sweet marriage and your many children (=
You truly deserve every happiness!

Promise of Joy:
Live happily with the woman you love through the fleeting days of life.
Ecclesiastes 9:9

That is such a great mental picture!! God is the creator of marriage- so I know He intends for it to be a source of happiness for us. I pray for you two- that you will always find joy in being with one another - and be blessed with still holding hands when you are old and gray =)
